Members of the executive council were also chosen for the coming two years, and the technical committees’ members were appointed.
The presidency of the organization’s General Assembly went to Sameh El-Hefny, Egypt’s civil aviation minister, after his election to the post for the 2026–2028 term.
The session closed with participants underscoring the importance of strengthening joint Arab cooperation in civil aviation and coordinating efforts among member states to confront the sector’s current and future challenges, in a way that ensures its sustainability and bolsters its competitiveness at both the regional and international levels.
